Holiday DIY Fun
My friend Lindsay and I had the pleasure of attending the very first Holiday Wreath Workshop at Lavender and Lace Floral Farm this past Friday. I have worked with Kristen Carrier, owner of Lavender and Lace Floral Farm, on a bridal collaboration and her work is simply amazing. There was no way I was going to miss this workshop – it was such a lovely time.
I have to admit that when I saw Kristen’s sample wreaths, my confidence in my ability to make a replicate felt small. You would think as an event stylist, this would be a piece of cake eh? Think again. Don’t get me wrong, we were given all the supplies and instruction needed to create a beautiful wreath. After 3 frustrating attempts, I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks to Kristen and her assistant’s help and creative boost, I can say that I am proud of our wreaths. In short, everyone’s wreath turned out a little different, and I can honestly say, I loved them all. It was fun to see everyone excited to see each other’s work and progress. The ladies were exchanging ideas, asking opinions, all while sipping on some wine or tea.
My Experience at Lavender & Lace’s Holiday Wreath Workshop
I had so much fun. Loved that we were a small enough group that it was easy to bond with other attendees and have conversations without screaming on top of each other. Most importantly, I appreciated how caring Kristen and her assistant were with the group. They took the time to help each one of us and guided us through this creative adventure. I’d participate to a workshop hosted by Kristen anytime! Are you kidding? Have you seen my wreath? Imagine what I could do next?
