I remember the day I discovered grilled cheese sandwich. I was at a friend’s house for a sleepover and her mother made us a snack to eat while watching a movie. I was so intrigued. How is it that had I never heard of such deliciousness? Last week, I was craving soul food. Anything fried was going to do it for me. When I realized National Grilled Cheese Day was around the corner, I came up with this Jalapeno & Honey Garlic Battered Shrimp Grilled Cheese recipe.
Jalapenos, honey, and garlic go great together. A delicious sweet and spicy combo – the best if you ask me.
I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, so I decided not to overdo it. Chopped jalapenos (I like them chunky), a honey garlic spread, battered shrimp (these are so fun to make) and some jalapeno cheddar cheese.
I followed the instructions from My Fridge Food to make these crunchy fried shrimps. The rest is a piece of cake. You could check out this baked battered shrimp recipe from Diet Hood or this beer batter coconut shrimp by I Love Hawaiian Food Recipes for some added flavor.
I hope you enjoy your National Grilled Cheese Sandwich day with this delicious Jalapeno & Honey Garlic Battered Shrimp Grilled Cheese as much as I am!
Oh and remember, the more cheese the better!
